Weird Problem in game
dunno if this is the right spot for this but if its not then please move it.
Anyway, for some reason I have been having trouble with my character. I have a level 20 W/E and I have a Murakais blade. Has max damage, im a level 20, and I meet the requirements needed for the sword but I don't do nearly as much damage as I should. Im in the desert right now on prophecies (using my nightfall character) and I am only hitting about 10 if im lucky. Most of the time I will hit a 0 or I will miss or get blocked. My power attack usually only does 10 on creatures im hitting 0 on normally. I don't get what is going on. Can anyone help?

What enemies are you attacking?
Do they cast specific hexes on you? Or what enchantments do you have on you? (I.E. Life Attunement, etc).

To do 100% damage with a weapon you need to max weapon mastery (12). just meeting the req 9 does not give you full damage. Anything over max by means of runes increase your damage past 100%.

I have 12 strength and 13 swordsmanship so I don't know how it could possibly be those. I have runes on my armor for my swordsmanship but even if it was just the required 9 I would still be able to hit more than zero.

Well there are many factors that reduce damage from other skills to monsters AL. The +damage from attack skills however is armour ignoring so to do damage use attack skills.

ok, i got a couple of guesses:
1) don't run up to the rockshot devourers, their dust trap will blind you
2) don't use skills that cause weakness. although almost none of the mobs out there can put it on you themselves, there are some with plague touch.
3) you're running into creatures casting ward against melee, which gives them a chance to block
4) you're having trouble against the enchanted, which have very high armor, which explains why you'd hit very low. wiki says they're weak against lightning dmg, so i'd suggest switching to a shocking weapon and even considering putting conjure lightning into your build if they give you that much trouble.
hope that helps

Yeah, I'd have the same problems to. AND YES, I meet all of the req. 12 sword, 14 strength. No conditions, enchants or hexes. (I am hitting them) My warrior is incredibly weak for no reason. Hitting 3-15's.

Can not replicate this bug, so it's probably an enchant on them, something you missed, or a bug with the weapon itself.

I doubt this is a bug. It's just that you're kinda new with a melee char.
A warrior does damage by it's skills, not by autoattacking. I hit 10's or so with my axe on Kournan Warriors becase of their Armor. That's because the stated damage of a weapon is such at 12 mastery, and against foes wtih 60 armor. I hit 0's at 14 mastery against martial demons in Realm of Tormetn without LB title on.
When monsters start hitting level 20 and up, there aren't left many that have such low armor. The enemy warriors have as much armor like you (116 armor vs. physical), and as such you hit them for less than the half of what you think you should be hitting them. But when I get in my [[executioner's strike], I get 60 or so, even more if a sexy critical+sundering kicks in. So it's just a matter of constantly using/spamming skills. Any "+bonus damage" from a skill is armor ignoring, so if Power Attack says "+38" then you will be going easily for over 60 damage including armor penetration.
Strength's Armor Penetration applies only on the "+bonus" damage from any attack skill, not autoattacks. For example, Final Trust can deal well over 100 damage to high armored enemies if the condition is met.
Last, as others have mentioned, desert section is annoyig for all the blocking ([[ward against melee], [[riposte], [[lightning reflexes], are some skills the monsters have).
Can be aswell that the target has [[Protective Spirit] on him, or something along those lines.
This is the main reason why most people think warriors don't deal much damage, they just don't use attack skills and instead focus on tanking. They are doing it wrong, unfortunately.

Yeah, this isn't a bug. There are too many other factors to consider as far as what you're attacking and what they're doing though. Pay attention to the conditions on you and such.
I'll move this to the Warrior forum in Campfire. Be sure to post your build, and stats, and I'm sure they'll be able to help you.

ALF71BE Has explained it very clearly and if you read all other posts you will know this isnt a bug and its just the game especially in HM youll find you hit for a little bit and remember the enemy might have enchantments preventing you from doing as much dmg.

well if you're wondering why you're being blocked or missing i think you should read more skill descriptions and learn about game mechanics. you can do this here.
if you're hitting for small amounts the thing you're hitting either has high armor or damage reduction skills on it.
if you're hitting for zero the mobs have damage reduction.
you're not gonna see numbers ranging from 15-22 every time you swing. a lot of other factors play a role in your final damage. you can read about damage calculation here.

actually armor ignoring damage isn't affected by armor penetration (go figure). it's the base damage on hits caused by attack skills that receives a benefit from strength.

If you are a user of Xfire then i suggest you record a short video in game and post a lonk to it here. That way people can see exaclty whats going on and explain in the most relevant way.
If you are not a user of Xfire go and DL it. It is too useful not to have.

Who told you this? Why would they give a REQ on the weapon then?
You meet the requirements, you do max damage with the weapon.
As for the bug...maybe the enemies have some kind of damage reduction enchantment? Stances? Drakes have ward against melee so that'll explain the blocking. do they have increased armor too? Kinetic armor? Have you tried it against softer enemies elsewhere in prophecies?
